About us
MCLC offers a balanced program that enables children to grow physically, mentally, socially and spiritually through participation in individual, small and large group activities. We recognize that play is the child's work and that through play, children learn to interact with others in an acceptable and loving way.
We have a caring staff that is devoted to the children that attend MCLC. We are excited to announce our NEW director, Ms. Kay Hailey, who recently retired from teaching after 33 years of dedication. She is excited in her new endeavors as the Director of MCLC and has a great staff listed below that she works with:

Our rooms are set up in learning centers where a child can manipulate materials, create with blocks and paint, and use language to develop important concepts. Teachers introduce activities that are appropriate to the child's developmental level and are aware of of child's interests and unique characteristics.
We are a certified Class B licensed day care facility. Standards for state certification are strictly adhered to: teachers are trained in CPR and first aid procedures, state and national background checks for staff are maintained, and safety and security measures are enforced. Teachers receive 12 hours of in-service each year and are encouraged to continue their education that is partially funded by MCLC.
The MCLC is a ministry of First United Methodist Church and is governed by a Board that is ultimately responsible to the Church Council. Day to day operations of the MCLC are under the administration of the Director.
