  Travel to Mcleodgunj. Then from there up 2 KMs to Dharamkot. Trust me, you will thank me. Absolutely beautiful and serene place. Do the Triund trek if possible. You will find snow there.   I highly recommend Dharamkot, a small and quiet village just 2 KMs above Mcleodgunj. Absolutely stunning view and so calm that you can hear the birds singing.   Hi all, Looking out for suggestions from the experts out here please.. Two women and a child (aged 8 years) are planning a trip to Himachal in the last week of November. The whole idea is to avoid fancy destinations and stay at places connected to nature. We are looking at the following itinerary for 9 days: Dharamshala - Mcleodganj - Palampur (detour to Bir Billing) - Kasol - Tosh - Kheerganga trek - Phulga - Kalga . My queries are: 1.   Remove Dharamshala and add Dharamkot. Dharamkot is only 2 KMs from Mcleodgunj and amazingly peaceful and beautiful. There is a trek starting from Dharamkot called Triund and I have seen 5 year olds completing it, so if the kid is upto it then all can try.   Stay at Dharamkot, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, India. You will live in serene beauty, calm and quiet nature. Mcleodgunj is too crowded and noisy.
