Optician / Optometrist recommendation Last two eye exams at a popular mall eyewear clinic were disappointing - the first Dr seemed to be pushing vitamins for profit and both took a long time to understand that I've tried progressive lenses and hate them; I'd rather have three separate Rx for close, near, and distance than one Rx that is a compromise (progressives are very directional - I have monitors which are a 40" span and that would require a lot of head turning). ratemymd.ca seems to be offline - do you have an optician who "gets it" or understands your needs well?

At our office our doctor and our optician absolutely understand that you might not be interested in a progressive. They don't work for everyone and they don't work in all situations. We would love to help you out if you wanted to give us a chance! We know that as an office reaching out to you this seems more like an ad and carries a bit less weight than if one of our patients was recommending us. Still, we would love to see you. Our office is Eye Spy Optometry. We're located at 1518 4 th street SW. If you wanted to call us you can reach us at (403) 474-6744 or you can find out more on our website www.eyespyoptometry.com We look forward to helping you and best of luck!

I went to Eye Spy Optometry on 4th. It had a few good reviews so I went. The doctor (Mark Ross) was awesome.
I have double vision and an under developed left eye, and unlike any other doctor I've seen before, he actually explained the condition and told me how I can go about improving it. He explained everything he was doing as he was doing so. Super helpful guy.
Lara, the optician, was great for helping me get a pair of frames that looked and fit good.
At no time, were either of them trying to push anything on me, or upsell me in any way. I'll definitely continue to go there.
I also gave them a good review on google and they gave me a 25$ voucher. That was unexpected, and awesome.
They also do direct billing which is great.
