Florida homeowners insurance, recommendations? So I am closing on my first property and the paperwork requires me to have an insurer in place.
Now I am waiting on the master insurance policy from the listing agent to specifically find out what is/is not covered in the hoa coverage
But assuming nothing is my realtor has mentioned a friend of his that works for Allstate that could help me out..however being in the hurricane lands I have read just negative thing on reddit about all state.
So any other companies people might recommend I call up?
House is worth about 270k, wood frame, 3 bed and 2 bath, roof replaced about 5 ys ago.
I've never owned a house before so I have zero idea
Thanks for all the advice

This company does insurance in Florida. http://www.floridapeninsula.com/welcome Call a broker and see what your options are. Remember it's better to have too much than not enough - you can afford the premiums but you probably cannot afford to rebuild without insurance.
