  Bakery Recommendations? We're celebrating our oldest daughter's 12th birthday with a long weekend in D.C., and I'd like to surprise her with a cake. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced bakery that can deliver? We won't have a car as we're taking the train down. Though I suppose I could take a cab if it wasn't too far. We're staying in the Crystal City area.

  I'd check out [Buzz Bakery](http://buzzbakery.com/store/store.html). There's one not far from Crystal City (though it's a hike from the Braddock Road metro stop). There's also one in Navy Yard right near the metro--if the weather is nice, you could all pick up the cake and eat it outside in Yards Park.

The best place in the DC area for reasonably priced good cakes is Stella's in Rockville, but that's extremely inconvenient for you and they don't deliver, and I can't really think of any bakeries that offer delivery and are near Crystal City.
