  Looking for mature portrait photographer My mother's birthday is on Valentine's day and it often gets thrown in with the holiday so this year I'd like to show her extra attention. She's an absolutely stunning person both inside and out though, I've noticed as she gets older she makes comments about how she used to look more often. I would love to have a photoshoot done for a gift and I'm looking for a photographer that has experience working with mature clients (62yo) and in black and white portraits to try and help her see how gorgeous she still very much is.

However, they only sell pictures in very expensive 300-500 dollar packages with no digital copies! I took these items to a local studio in town and was quoted at almost $2,000 on the high end, which I balked at. If anyone has any recommendations for someone around town who could accomplish this it would be greatly appreciated and I would have reoccurring work. Certainly willing to pay a fair price but $2,000 just seemed insane.

Is that possible? In order for me to do it myself, I'd need to purchase light and stands for about $60, a backdrop for about $30, and a backdrop stand for another $60. I've got a digital SLR camera that I am okay with, and I could get something decent if I had the lights and backdrop after countless tries.
