  It is important in your position to find a realtor that is interested in acting as a buyer's agent, many realtors just want to list property for sellers. When I was looking to buy my home I found Glenda Daughety: http://www.glendadaughety.com She was very helpful, especially to a first-time buyer. Since then I have referred a couple of my friends to her, who subsequently bought homes through her.
