  Good and Cheap don't really go hand and hand. Inexpensive sure, but not cheap. There is a difference. Even if it needs a replacement it's pretty simple. You can learn tons about basic home improvement and maintenance from Youtube. Home Depot and This old house have tons of great info. As well as others.
