  I stayed at Hotel abdi du voyager, a ["two star budget hotel"](http://www.abri-voyageur.ca/). It was decent enough, the location was excellent (right in the middle of the entertainment district), and it was cheap. It WAS a little shady though, and I'm pretty sure I woke up to the sound of a prostitute being beaten up by her pimp on the street below my window.
