  Druid Hill Park is a great place to take your dog for an off-leash run around. Also the wine shop in Mount Vernon, http://www.spiritsofmtvernon.com/ is super dog friendly. They have tastings and other events there and you're welcome to bring your do in. I think you can also just get wine to consume there at the nice tables and stools they have.
