Dog has osteosarcoma needs leg amputated ASAP. Vet recommendations? We've already been to VOSM but their price is triple our reg vets and we simply cannot afford it. Our reg vet is charging 1,000 but cannot fit us in until feb 8 and I worry thats too long to wait. It hasn't spread to the lungs and we don't want to give it a chance to.
So any recs for a vet who can do this type of surgery? Personal experiences? We've googled but most places only have a few reviews so were hesitant.

Have you reached out to Friendship Hospital for Animals? Atlas Vet is my dog's regular vet, but for after-hour emergencies and surgeries that require overnight stays we use Friendship. They're not the cheapest but they know their stuff. Here's a list of specialty surgeries they perform http://www.friendshiphospital.com/veterinary-services/surgical-specialists.html Good luck to you and your pup.
