If you're after basic shots and spaying/neutering, then Prevent-a-Litter is your jank. https://preventalitter.org. They never answer the phone so you should stop in in person to make your appointment for spaying. If you need cheap, assembly-line style surgery done on your pet, then head to Helping Hands. https://www.helpinghandsvetva.com If you want a kind, sweet, positive all around general vet than you can't do better than Church Hill Animal Hospital. churchhillanimalhospital.com
Vet recommendations? I'm new to the area, and I need to refill my cat's medication. I'm on a really thin budget right now, so I need somebody affordable, but I want to start a relationship with a good vet since we're going to be here for at least a few years. So tell, me, RVA, who do you like?

Where in town are you? [Church Hill Animal Hospital](http://www.churchhillanimalhospital.com/) are good folks.
Recommendations for a small animal vet? My kitten needs her shots. I got a new kitten a couple months ago, and it's time for her to have her booster shots. Does anyone have any recommendations on places to have them done? I'm still new to Richmond, so any thoughts would be appreciated!

If you're in Shockhoe, I'd recommend [Church Hill Animal Hosp.](http://www.churchhillanimalhospital.com/) I have a friend that insists on taking her cats there-- even though are at least 15 other vets between her house and Church Hill. She loves Dr. Jack.
