I adopted a female staffordshire (think pit) last Wednesday and that night while we slept she began a really bad dry cough. I suspect it's kennel cough as I did get her from the shelter. However, Sunday she did not eat at all and Monday as well and again just now (Tues morning) I had to force feed her baby food as that was not appealing to her either. She's 6 months and wasn't in the best shape to begin with so i'm getting worried about this hunger strike episode. Thanks in advance.

  I highly recommend Dr. Schweiss and the VCA Spring Branch Animal, 10109 Long Point, 713 461-1121. Have only been there once, but Dr. Schweiss really seems professional and helpful. Good luck!
