Can you recommend a good Home Inspector? I'm in the process of buying a home and I'm searching for an outstanding home inspector. Initially I was considering contacting several specialists (Plummer, electrician, structural engineer) to cover all the bases when it comes to home inspections. This however, would be costly. So I'm hoping the /r/montreal community can refer a very thorough home inspector, one that will be very diligent in his investigations.
Thanks

We just bought a house, and had a solid experience with Inspec-thor. They were very knowledgeable and had some useful tips for both short and long term changes and upgrades. They didn't many problems, and the ones they did find they provided suggestions for. They missed one little thing; the previous owner got a cheap contractor to do some quicky repairs, and he had glued two pipes together rather than buying the right piece. It leaked a little, but was a quick fix. I don't really blame them. The problem was only noticeable when we took the pipe apart. But it's something to keep in mind. http://www.inspec-thor.com/en/
