  Good hair salon that cuts men’s hair? I’m a guy here; looking for somewhere in the Detroit area that cuts men’s hair. I’m not looking for a barbershop since I’m growing my hair out longer and only want to get it cleaned and tamed every month or so. Any recommendations of any salon or any person that will accommodate me? I’d like to keep it under $40 a cut, but I’m flexible if it’s good quality. Preferred locations are Oakland County and Ann Arbor, but I’m desperate for a good cut so I’ll drive just about anywhere reasonable.

  [Berkley Chop Shop](http://berkleychopshop.com/) is pretty much overly-stylish, fashionable gear heads listening to punk rock and cutting men's hair. It's a unique environment, but it works, and I've yet to have a bad haircut there. A mens cut is $25+tip, cash only.

  While my favorite place is the [Chop Shop](http://berkleychopshop.com/) in Berkley, it's typically about $25, they don't take credit - so that's probably not going to work for you, but I love the punk-rock-meets-muscle-cars-in-a-grimey-garage theme the place has going on. You're probably going to have more appreciation for [Sands](https://www.sandsbarbershop.com/) in Royal Oak, which is pretty much as old school and traditional of a barber experience as I've ever had. Basically just sit down, say what you want, pay, leave. I've only had 2 haircuts there myself (both walkins), but I liked them both and if I recall correctly they were in the $15+tip range
