[These](http://www.hanksclothing.com/amish_belts_ccw.html) are pretty popular, and inexpensive.

I picked up a blade tech "rough out" leather belt with kydex layer. Super stiff with a nice buckle. The rough texture is almost like shark skin, it stays in place and helps keep the holster from shifting. A good sturdy belt does make a big difference. The nylon "instructor" type belts are also very good and can be found pretty cheap. Found the blade tech on amazon for just under $30 Have heard good things about "Amish belts" http://www.hanksclothing.com/amish_belts_ccw.html I think the important thing about a good gun belt is that it's rigid when its buckled. It should be like a hola hoop when you hold it in your hand.
