Looking for recommendations on barbecue catering for post-wedding brunch. On Mother's Day. My mom is hosting a brunch on Mother's day to honor my wife and I's recent wedding (mom's idea) and our original plans for Italian fell through. We're looking for a barbecue place to cater the brunch and I've been living outside of KC for long enough that I don't trust my historical knowledge of what's available.
I don't mind if it's saucy or messy, but I don't want super sweet KC Masterpiece style barbecue. My family used to be really big into Haywards, but I've heard my dad talking about how great Oklahoma Joes is. I've also heard that there are several newer places that have opened in the last few years.
I'd love any advice. Thanks!

I've had OK Joe's cater an event (now Joe's KC) and it was fantastic. They'll deliver to your event if it's over 50 people, though that might be larger than your brunch, so you'd need to pick it up. It's nothing fancy (stuff in disposable trays) but it's tasty. https://www.joeskc.com/pages/catering I *highly* recommend Jack Stack catering if you're looking for something a little more elegant, with heated chafing dishes, etc. http://www.jackstackbbq.com/catering/a/catering/
