  Looking for a licensed electrician to get power into our detached garage. Our budget is $1000 +/- Location : newark We have 2 methods that we are willing to try. Either bump up the house to 400amps and split off 200for the garage, or get new service 200 amp to the garage itself. We don't mind doing some of the box work and running wires/outlets if it will keep us in budget. The only things we really can't do is anything between the box and the meter. Tried calling some numbers in the yellow pages but getting rather high estimates. If this seems impossible to achieve at near a grand please fill me in.
