Sushi restaurant recommendation for beginner So my girlfriend and I have always ordered out for sushi, so we are FAR from experts on what's considered good sushi. We were hoping to eat in a proper sushi restaurant and sample some quality food. I was hoping not to spend more than $50-$70 per person. I was also hoping to be able to sit at one of those bar things and have the sushi made in front of us. Can you guys recommend a good place? Also we plan to do this Friday night, so if we would need a reservation, please let me know with your suggestion.

You're looking for omakase. This is my go-to spot: [Sushi Seki](http://www.sushiseki.com/) Upper East Side location. But they have other locations too. Reservation is DEFINITELY required, especially for a Friday night. Good luck!
