Looking for a tailor that can properly hem selvedge denim. Have a nice new pair of selvedge denim that I need to have hemmed, but I want to make sure that I take them some place where they understand how they're worn and how to hem them properly (i.e. not like your uncle's slacks).
Anybody have any positive experiences with local tailors in regards to this, specifically?
Thanks!

If you're looking to have a chainstitch done, I haven't found a single tailor in our area who has the equipment to do it unfortunately. You could always send your jeans out to places like http://www.selfedge.com/?route=information/repair
Any recommendations for a tailor for my jeans in New York City. Looking for a tailor in Manhattan for my jeans; especially for reattaching the original hem after shortening. I'll travel for a good tailor but would prefer if it were located uptown.

So do you want the actual hem reattached or just the same chainstitch redone? Anyways, [SENY](http://www.selfedge.com/) is a good place to hit up.
Can anyone recommend a quality jean's company I can order from? I've been having trouble finding a reliable pair of jeans that I really like and lasts, I'm a 42 if that matters.

Check out [Self Edge](http://www.selfedge.com/). The majority of the jeans they have is excellent in terms of quality. They're having a 13% off sale right now too
