I'd be happy to get recommendations for Chinese/ oriental restaurants. Good Chinese food is probably my favourite cuisine . however "bad chinese" is as bad as any food gets; so I usually don't venture into a Chinese restaurant without a recommendation first. it is hard to tell between good and bad chinese.
so far i've come across.
"Red Monk" in Metuchen - chinese/fusion - green curry was excellent . the other dishes were also very good, exceeded my expectation for a fusion place, but would give full marks even without my fusion hesitation.
"Pad Thai" - in Highland Park - WOW their curries were awesome!! (green and massaman) and they have 4 level of spiciness (none, mild, medium,hot) with a warning in the menu, that if this is your first time there , go for the "mild" - they are not kidding, their "medium" is the hottest food i've enjoyed outside of china.
"Sichuan Spring" Edison- did not go in yet, but will soon, unless you guys stop me
