Looking for recommendations for a mechanic on the West-side, My car is about due for brake pads and rotors, and also an oil change. Having recently moved to Madison, I am looking for recommendations for a mechanic on/near the West-side who has fair prices, and does good work...I would prefer to avoid the larger national chains, and would like to go to a local business.

[Westside Service Center](https://www.westside-service-center.com) on Freeport Rd (behind Home Depot). There is usually a wait because it's a small, local shop, but they have treated me and my cars well for 20 years. Edit: "wait" meaning you can't get in same day. There is no waiting area per se and they are doing only contactless transactions, i.e. you leave the keys in a drop box.
Ford mechanic recommendations? I have a 2008 Ford Focus that's needs a little help.
#1 engine mounts are going and need the 2 mounts replaced.
#2 check engine light popped up w/a code, likely saying my engine's thermostat needs replacing.
So, anyone know of a shop/mechanic that could take care of these in less than a day and for a reasonable amount of $.

Westside Service Center. They've absolutely earned their 4.9 stars on Google, Aaron and the rest of the guys are fucking awesome and for sure those jobs will be doable in a day, assuming that's what it needs. Just be aware they usually book a week ahead of time because they are popular http://www.westside-service-center.com I also have had great experience with Turn 2 Repair, but they moved out into the country north of Verona last year and its just not easy to get back and forth to drop my car off out there anymore.
Can anyone recommend a good mechanic? I moved to town a few months ago and I am looking for a good mechanic. I don't really know much about cars and M\money is a bit tight so someone who is honest and won't push expensive services that I don't need would be nice. I have a 99 subaru legacy outback if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help!

We have been taking our Subaru's to West Side Service - http://westside-service-center.com/ for over 5 years. They have never been pushy and their low repair costs have amazed my car-savvy father-in-law.
Can anyone recommend a mechanic? Hi there.
I'm new in town and staying near Verona/Fitchburg. I already needed new brakes and rotors for my 09 Camry before I hit a deer on my way to my internship in Janesville this morning, so it needs some collision work, too.
I'll need a quote for my insurance as well and wanted to see if anyone knew of a good place to take my car instead of having to trek back to Chicago to go to my regular place.
Edit: thanks for all the suggestions. Because of the extensive damage from the deer, my insurance recommended that I take my car to Ball Body Shop, which was bought by Smart Motors Toyota. So far they've been courteous and helpful, and the free 2013 Camry rental is pretty sweet. If I don't get the brakes done there as well, I'll definitely look into one of these posts!

I've heard nothing but great stuff about [Westside Service Center](http://westside-service-center.com/) Tucked on a side road near Raymond/151.

Westside Service Center off Verona road (behind Home Depot). I've been using them for 7+ years, and my (working mechanic) father has always been impressed with their work and the fairness of their prices. Absolutely go there.
