  There's lots of pubs with pretty good food in hampstead, if you fancy on of those I'd recommend [the stag](http://www.thestaghampstead.com/) near the royal free hospital ( it has a great garden too ) or the [horseshoe](http://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/horseshoe) on Heath street - really nice meats. The restaurants are a bit chainy so I'd recommend going down the hill to Belize park and [chez bob](http://www.chezbob.biz/) or towards west hampstead and [sarrachinos](http://www.sarracinorestaurant.com/) which is probably the best Italian I've ever been to
