  I know this is a little late, but being a new father myself, I have been looking for similar places. A great place to go is BlueJay Cafe. The people that run the place are super nice, and the food is really good. It has a French field like L'Ardoise or Alamo Food Seafood Grill with candle lit tables and nice music playing, but is super family friendly. http://bluejaysf.com/ *Every day kids eat free before 7 pm and 5.30 to 7 pm 1⁄2 price drinks*
