  Hostel Recommendations for Berlin, Munich and Amsterdam. Hi, I am backpacking from 15th Sept onwards. Will be starting from Budapest (booked Retox, as I want to experience what a party hostel is like). Then I'll be going to Prague (Have heard good things about the MadHouse and Sir Toby's.. but MadHouse is a bit on an expensive side and is pretty much already booked, so I am looking at Sir Toby's). Then I'll head to Munich for the Oktoberfest and I guess all the good places are already booked by now. I have no good idea of good/cheap places in Berin, Munich and Amsterdam. Redditors, help me with your experience please. I am 26/M.. like to drink, party but I also love sight seeing and chilling. Also, I'd be happy if anyone wants to tag along or meet up for a beer. It will also be great to meet the locals in these cities and I'll gladly buy you a beer, if you can meet up and help me with the inside secrets and great lesser known places of your city.

  [Combackpackers](http://www.comebackpackers.com/en/home.html) in berlin is the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Good beds, bar, cool staff, balcony overlooking the street. The common room however is second to none in my opinion. I loved that place, stayed 5 days longer than I had planned. Munich I stayed at Wombat's which was great. Amsterdam I stayed at Flying Pig Uptown and it was alright. I'm sure there are better places.
