Looking for a cabin in the woods, 1-3 hours drive from metro los angeles. howdy y'all,
anyone know a place where i can rent a cabin for the weekend of november 14th? 1 to 3 hours drive from Los Angeles and preferably within the 4 to $600 range for two nights starting friday nov 14th.
ideally, a woody area with hiking options, maybe a deck, a stove, comfy and able to accommodate about 10 people would be perfect.
any help is appreciated, and if this is the wrong subreddit, please kindly point me in the right direction.
Cheers!

I second Idyllwild. Big Bear is nice but Idyllwild is smaller and more secluded, and less expensive. Knotty Pine Cabins is a great choice if you can nab their biggest one, "Security Lodge". It has all the amenities you describe. Beware, just about any cabin you rent in Idyllwild will have an ant problem. Keep all foods in the refrigerator or in bags and you'll be fine. http://www.knottypinecabinsidyllwild.com/description.php I've stayed here many times. They sell firewood, firestarter, and have a VHS library you can use as you please.
