Dentist recommendation for someone with terrible teeth As stated. I haven't had insurance for years and years and so have largely put off dental work. They could be worse but my teeth are objectively disgusting at this point and work needs to be done (largely wisdom teeth removal and veneers).
Compounding this, the rare time that I've been able to go in I've had dentists that apparently minored in Shaming at their dentistry school. So I'm looking for someone that knows the work to be done and does it without walking me through a condescending reenactment of how to brush my teeth. Money/insurance isn't an issue, but attitude is. Any leads? Ideally centretown area or thereabouts.

Dentist Recommendation? Hey r/ottawa ! I know this questions gets asked a lot on this sub, but I'm looking for a good dentist recommendation based on my personal preferences.
* Preferably in the east end (I live on Riverside East and work near St. Laurent and Walkley)
* I have work benefits but I do still have to pay a portion so somewhere that is somewhat affordable
* I haven't been to the dentist in a little over 2 years and I am very nervous/terrified of needles so I'm looking for someone that is nice and very gentle!
I've noticed a dull pain in some of my teeth lately (specifically near a top molar and also front bottom), and I'm worried I might have come cavities, so your recommendations for someone nice is really appreciated!

Mine is downtown (not east, but at least central and easy to get to). http://www.kentdentalclinic.ca, Dr Haysam Shaban. I'm a giant wuss about the dentist (I went to a paediatric dentist until I was 18) and then couldn't find a gentle enough dentist for years until I found Dr Shaban. I can't recommend him enough for someone who is antsy about the dentist. Depending on your insurance, they might be able to do direct billing so you only have to pay the remainder rather than paying up front and being reimbursed by your insurance provider. I usually pay no more than $20-$50 out of pocket depending on what's being done.
