World Relief Seattle is a non-profit refugee resettlement organization. We resettle refugees and asylees from countries such as Bhutan, Burma, Iraq, Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Iran.
What we do:
* Greet them at the airport * Furnish their apartments * Provide cultural and community orientation * Help them learn English through ESL classes * Assist with job training and placement * Connect them to vital social services
Our organization supports refugees during their initial months of transition in the United States. We rely on partnerships with hundreds of volunteers, local churches, and community organizations to help refugees achieve self-sufficiency and confidence. We seek to empower our partners to welcome the stranger and meet both spiritual and physical needs by inviting refugees into their lives and communities.
I have a couch and a flat screen TV I’m looking to donate. Does anybody know a family in need? Both are in a storage unit and would need to be picked up. Let me know if you know of a family or organization that is in need and can pick up. Thanks
