Husband and wife team, Mike Khorosh and Alexandra Dickison, blended their dreams together and created Toasted and Roasted, a micro coffee roaster and café. Opening in early 2017, the cafe will feature fresh seasonal salads, artisan sandwiches, homemade pastries and coffee roasted on location daily at 7311 Melrose Ave. Mike, co-founder of the cafe, is an advanced sommelier and a certified specialist in wine. He hopes to begin offering locally sourced craft beer and wine by Summer 2017. Working alongside giants, such as the NY Yankees Steakhouse, Morton's the Steakhouse, and OTG Management, Mike has a notable history of 18 years in the hospitality industry. Ali, his wife and business partner, has also worked her way up in the field most recently learning the principles of excellence in hospitality through the Hillstone Restaurant Group. OUR STORY Mike and Ali are passionate about quality in every aspect of the café and roastery. Toasted and Roasted will offer only the highest grade of beans, responsibly sourced through direct trade with farmers from around the world. Guests may select a variety of brew methods ranging from simple pour-over to our state of the art Steampunk coffee system. Paired with Toasted and Roasted’s signature homemade waffles and crepes, the coffee experience is brought to the next level. From farm to table and bean to cup, every detail at Toasted and Roasted is attended to with care. Mike and Ali are committed to making everyone feel like family and creating a home away from home for the community in their new neighborhood coffee shop.
