  Im looking for a good, trustworthy mechanic to help me get my 72 running right. Its the original 350, supposedly rebuilt about 5 years ago, wasnt running when i bought it 3 years ago but i got it running. It has a knock, and just sounds "loose". I can drive it across town fine, but feels like it wants to die when at idle and usually kills the battery after trying to restart it after sitting 5-10 minutes. I just want it to be reliable, and not worry about being stranded in the middle of nowhere. I love driving it, and want to take her out more. I want to get the motor running right before i tackle thw body and paint! Located in New Braunfels, but can take it to someone. Im debating buying a new motor since all my numbers match. Thanks for any help or leads!
