Not a good situation in mid-February when nightly temps were routinely below zero. I was worried my pipes were going to freeze and was particularly concerned about the possible expense of having to replace the pipes in my in-floor heating system. The first firm I contacted said replacement parts for my boiler were unavailable and I would have to buy a new boiler. I also contacted Alpha, where Josh told me he could get parts and fix my boiler, which should last at least another ten years. After replacing some parts on the boiler, Josh determined that the blower was failing as well. This caused an unending cycle of the pilot light being lit followed by ignition in the combustion chamber blowing out the pilot light. Replacement blowers weren't going to be available for a month, so Josh fabricated a cowling out of sheet metal that allowed another brand's blower to work in my boiler in the meantime. This is giving me a month I don't have to wear my down jacket inside and position electric space heaters to keep indoor temps above 50. Knowing my predicament, Josh made himself available at all times, even offering to work on a Sunday. Josh's imaginative temporary fix is working well. Great customer service! He's my hero.
