Breakaway has over 50 years of specifc power skating knowledge and we have the best in class group of instructors. We have worked with players at all skill levels from Timbits to players playing professional hockey and have a keen understanding of particular skating drills that work at each skill level. We understand the intrices of skating as we have worked with thousand of players over the years. Both Tim and Adrian trained with Deanna will playing minor hockey in Calgary and also during their professional careers. We are all passionate about power skating and seeing your player improve and taking their game to the next level. Tim and Adrian also have specific puck knowledge that they bring to each session.

DEANNA CURRAN - OWNER HEAD INSTRUCTOR Deanna has been active in the power skating field in Calgary for over 25 Years! Deanna provides expert skating instruction for beginners to professionals. She has worked with a variety of International and Professional teams and players, from Japan, Canada and the United States. Many current Canadian Junior national and NHL players, as well as successful University players have been instructed by Deanna.
TIM MURRAY - OWNER HEAD INSTRUCTOR Tim has over twenty years experience teaching power skating and hockey skills. Tim has worked with all levels of players including elite players from novice to college/junior. Tim's ability to effectively analyze the skating stride and ability to add explosive power and quickness with or without a puck is of paramount importance to any player's game.
Tim grew up playing minor hockey in Calgary and was one of Deanna's first students and spent many years working with her. Tim's playing career lead him to the University of New Hampshire, where he received a full scholarship. In his Senior season he was named team MVP and a 2nd Team All American. ADRIAN FOSTER - SENIOR INSTRUCTOR Adrian has taught power skating and hockey skills for over 10 years and recently finished a very successful 13 year professional career. Adrian was drafted 28th overall in the 2001 NHL entry draft by New Jersey and played over eight years in the minor league and also played several years in Europe's top divisions.
Adrian also grew up in the Calgary minor hockey system and was also a student of Deanna's spending countless hours working with her. show more
