I grew up surrounded by flowers. My family home was full of colour and fragrance permeating throughout. Flowers remind me of my mum and my grandmother. The matriarchs of my family passed on a precious gift to me- an appreciation that flowers are natures most beautiful offerings. It was therefore completely natural for me to turn my passion into a career. Looking back my love of colour and form was apparent with every picture I coloured in or drew from a very young age. My doodles were always flowers- large extravagant blooms that entwined the blank pages, reaching out for spaces to decorate and fill. For me the tendering of fragile blossoms represents the nurturing I received as a child. Flowers are glimpses of warmer seasons long forgotten on dark winter nights. Any arrangement of blooms tantalises our senses with colour and fragrance. Flowers make us feel special. They are the first thing we think of buying for special events or to cheer someone up. When remembering loved ones we pay our final and everlasting respects with flowers- a loving and living link with the now and here after. The phrase 'Forget me not' was recorded by my great grand mother in a note to my mum-these words are important to my family. 'Forget me nots' have strong roots and drift freely finding homes in new borders. I hope that my personal service and dedication to my customers will be as memorable as spring blossoming 'forget me nots'. 'Forget Me Not Florist' was itself a tiny seed that slowly germinated in the depths of my imagination. I thought about as I drifted to sleep at night. I planned every detail like leaves developing on a tiny seedling. It is with sheer delight that my tiny seed has taken root and I am able to share my passion with others. I am determined to offer outstanding customer service. When selecting to use a florist you are choosing more than cut flowers. You are communicating a message, a memorable gesture that will last long... show more
after the blooms fade. When creating a bouquet, posy or any form of floral tribute I imagine the audience receiving nature's splendours. My services will always reflect the needs of individuals be it a home visit to select floral tributes or the need to create a small floral gesture to suit the tiniest of pockets. We are all used to having the most exotic of flowers all year round. Nothing looks more beautiful than a rich red rose on Valentine's Day does it? At 'Forget Me Not Florist's' we are able to supply a wide range of quality blooms. We are also developing our own cut flower meadow where seasonal flowers can be grown, freshly picked and used. Imagine purchasing flowers that have not travelled 20,000-25,000 kilometres by the time they reach your home as have many average sized supermarket bouquets. Instead of limiting our stock we are able to provide delicate flowers that do not travel well. Flowers where the incredible scents are quickly transported from ground to vases. I look forward to helping you create your own floral memories. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any floral requirements.
