The vision of Jon Beckel, Le Bistro Montage's founder, was to have a place where everyone could enjoy themselves and have a great meal. He hit the mark with Le Bistro Montage. Founded in 1992 in a converted taco stand, it soon moved to it's present location at 301 SE Morrison. On a shoestring budget, Jon and staff created a one of a kind place where, when you step in the door, you're not quite sure where you are. Its quirky decor, including huge paintings, a poster pulled off the Berlin Wall, decadent fresh flowers, tin cans pounded into the floor, and long, linen-covered tables, Creates an atmosphere that draws all types and guarantees a great time.
Best place to get some Cajun food in downtown Portland? and is there anywhere to get Boudin? In town from Tacoma for the weekend
Paul R. replied:
I think getting Cajun outside of LA or your home is going to go wrong... but I was invited to a menu tasting at http://montageportland.com/ and it was passable (high marks from me) but not something I'll rush back for per first statement. Havn't found boudin id run back for yet but recall some we all made links at https://www.laurelhurstmarket.com/butcher-shop but honestly can't recall exactly what I ate on their charcuterie plate.
Can anyone suggest any steakhouses in downtown Portland that are great with Celiac? We went to El Gaucho last year. While good, my pocketbook cried a little at the bill!

It's not a steak house, but I enjoy https://www.facebook.com/297119319467 Le Bistro Montage : ) Let them know you are gluten free nad they will help. I would not order the pasta.
