Can anyone recommend a good vet for my cat? Hi, i just moved here from New York. I searched the sub but i didn't find a post like this.
i have a four year old DSH cat who recently just made the trip with me down here, and its been a stressful month for him with moving to a new region, the 40 hour road trip it took to get here, and living with a new person (my best friend/roommate).
he started peeing on my roommate's clothes which while the roommate has been cool about it, still isn't great and even though its probably just due to stress i feel like i should go have him checked out. I should probably establish a good vet anyway since we'll probably be here a while.
i'm in the 78726 area if that helps? or travis county. it doesn't have to be in the immediate area if they're worth the trip but i'd prefer if someone knew a good one close to me because he's an indoor cat so any drives are kind of a hassle with him.

Dr. Matt Bendall is a mobile vet. r/http://www.doctorbendalls.com/ He helped my cat through some litter box issues.
Veterinarian Recommendations My cat is overdue for a checkup with a vet, and I was hoping to get some recommendations - I trust you guys more than Yelp reviews. I live in the Hyde Park area, but am willing to travel.
UPDATE: Thanks everyone for all the suggestions! I've got Mr. Tuxedo Cat an appointment Monday.

I started using a mobile vet for my cats last year and like it. Dr. Matt Bendall: http://www.doctorbendalls.com/ He travels with a vet tech and has a person who answer the phone/schedules visits.
Looking for a good vet in Austin for our cat We live just south of downtown. Looking for a good vet--this is our first pet, so we're not even sure how to tell the difference between a good vet and a bad vet.

I use a mobile vet now and am happy with him - Dr. Matt Bendall: http://www.doctorbendalls.com/. He doesn't do surgeries, but will refer your cat to a brick and mortar when needed. He has an office person and a vet tech who travels with him. It's very nice not to have to catch the kitty and load him/her into the carrier once they figure out what that means.
Any recommendations on a vet in the Austin area for my dog? I need recommendations for a good , honest and somewhat affordable vet in the Austin area. South or north. Doesn't really matter to me.

I think it depends on your idea of 'affordable' I find http://www.animaltrustees.org/ decent service, the meds (depending on what your preferences are) aren't always in stock, but overall the shots/6 month heart worm etc are cheaper as they are non-profit, but I still find overall yearly visits ~200 (including a 6 month supply of heart worm & flea meds). My GF also works for a mobile vet who she speaks amazingly highly of (both ethically & in general of sometimes finding alternative/cheaper ways of treatment, etc.) though I don't know the prices http://www.doctorbendalls.com/
