Geoff Waller from Friendly Computers in Lee's Summit, MO picked up my iMac G5 on 8/13/14. The computer wouldn't always boot up. Once he got it in his shop he tried a couple of different parts, but nothing worked. From 9/10 to 9/28 he was on vacation, so nothing was getting done. I called him on 10/16 and couldn't get him. I called him back on 10/17, still couldn't get ahold of him. He finally left me a voice mail saying that he could order another part to try. I called him back immediately, had to leave a voice mail, but told him that of course I wanted him to order the part. Heard nothing from him so I called again on 11/7 and he "wasn't available". I called him back on 11/14 and he claimed he did not get the voice mail telling him to order the part. I asked him why he hadn't called me and he said, "I don't have a good answer for that." Now it's 12/15 and I haven't heard a word about whether the new part worked or not. And again I call him and he tells me the new part did not work either. So he's bringing me back the computer today, after FOUR MONTHS, not fixed. And except for a couple of times, I did all the calling. He had excuses like they were very busy, had a 10-day turn around guarantee on fixing cell phones, etc. Bottom line is my computer sat there mostly untouched for four months and he didn't have the decency to call and let me know what was going on. I've really never dealt with anything like this before. It's a very bad way to run a business. My recommendation is that unless you have a cell phone repair, which is guaranteed in 10 days, do not use this business for computer repair.
