The placed I worked at in Austin does a good job, and their rates are pretty good. Precision Camera and Video. You can mail film to them if you'd like. www.precision-camera.com

Hey gang. I need your help. You all know I don't have a real camera, just my iphone 4. Well my dad wants to buy me a real camera for my birthday this month but doesn't know what to get me. I don't know jack about cameras either. I know Nikon and Canon is what I should be looking for but I need something that won't be crazy expensive or too complicated for me to use. I told him I could maybe match him for whatever he wants to spend on me, that way I can get something pretty decent. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Margaret M. replied:
depends on whether you want a camera that you can buy additional lenses for or just a good 35 mm point and shoot. I got a great deal on a Lumix by using a Groupon...saved $150. Go to Precision Camera on Anderson Lane. They'll recommend what's best for your needs. http://www.precision-camera.com/
Hey Austin, I'm looking for an antique camera appraiser. Any suggestions? I have about 10 cameras and accessories ranging from c. 1910 to c. 1965. And, I am looking to sell them soon. However, I don't know what they're worth. Any suggestions about where I could go to appraise them in Austin?
