General Pump (GP) was founded in 1982 by Michael Christopherson, and introduced high quality, high pressure, positive displacement plunger pumps to the U.S. marketplace. GP primarily serves the pressure cleaning industry, and has expanded to serve Vehicle Wash; Drain Cleaning, Sewer Cleaning; Reverse Osmosis; and miscellaneous Industrial Applications.
In 1998, InterPump S.p.A., located in S. Ilario (Reggio Emilia) Italy, acquired GP Companies, Inc. (d.b.a. General Pump, Noramco and GP/Delavan AgSpray Products).
GP Companies, Inc. is made up of people who are dedicated to providing a higher level of service to our customers. One of those services is the opportunity to attend our ‘Pump School,’ a unique, two-day product training course held at the corporate headquarters located in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. Our 54,000 square foot facility provides our employees with a highly productive and enjoyable atmosphere and a distribution center and warehouse complex engineered to achieve optimum material handling efficiencies.
