  Looking for recommendations for a veterinarian on the North side. My cousin's dog had puppies not too long ago so I will be taking home a new addition in a few weeks and would like to see if anyone here has any recommendations for a vet on the North side. The Lakeview area (or North of that) would be ideal, but I am willing to travel for the right vet. The dog will be a St. Bernard mix so any vets that have experiences in dealing with large breeds would be much appreciated. Also, if anyone knows of what places to stay away from, that would be equally appreciated. Thanks!

  North Center Animal Hospital, on Addison right by the brown line stop. They don't over medicate and (at least with our younger and senior pets) took time to figure out what was going on through xrays and blood tests rather than just "well it LOOKS like xx". One of the vets there now used to work there sweeping floors as a kid and liked the place so much he went to school to become a vet, just to come back and work there. 1808 W.
