After years of experimentation to find a unique songwriting style, Michael Wadina spent the summer of 2016 refining a collection of six songs that finally felt like home. Having a deep personal connection with this initial project, Michael called upon his close friends Matt Byers and Chris O’Brien to stand alongside him as a songwriter, working as active producers and co-writers of the EP. Feeling eager to release, the initial EP, titled “Where I’m Going,” was released in November of 2016 as a solo project under Michael’s full name, without any set plans to be an active performer. As the EP grew in listenership, however, the possibility of performing became a reality, as Michael rallied Cameron Theobald and Jeff Meloen to officially create the 5-piece group, Michael & the Myriad.
The band has since re-released the project under their name, and continues to entertain audiences around Nashville, TN. Pulling inspiration from bands such as Lord Huron & The Lumineers, The Myriad emits a unique alternative-folk ambiance, elegant guitar riffs, and catchy vocal melodies that gathered attention from local radio stations, venues, and soon-to-be fans. Their first EP set an initial standard for fans of the band, and after a number of live performances throughout the spring of 2017, the band has refocused on a more ambitious project — a full-length studio album, titled “Find the Sea.”
