About us
KEEN provides sporting and social activities for Oxfordshire young people with special needs. Our regular sessions are:
AllSorts - an inclusive multisports session (Saturdays 1:45pm-5:00pm)
Zig-Zag - a creative workshop (Thursdays 5:15pm-6:30pm)
KEEN Teens - a social club for teenagers (Mondays 6:00pm-7:20pm)
GrEAT Social - a social club for over 18s (Mondays 7:40pm-9:30pm)
GrEAT Sports - an inclusive sports club for over 18s (Tuesdays 7:00pm-8:00pm)
Activities are planned, led and supported by volunteers, many of whom are students at Oxford's universities and sixth forms, and we aim to give our participants one-to-one attention. KEEN is registered charity number 1157084 in England and Wales, and is affiliated to Mencap as a Gateway Club.

Alice B. asked:Does anyone know of someone who would run private swimming lessons for a six-year-old and a three-year-old with ASD and severe learning difficulties at a weekend. My daughter needs to learn to swim, but because of her brother's disability I'm finding it really difficult to take her to regular swimming lessons. She's a non-swimmer and would need me in the pool with her, which I can't do while caring for her brother. I thought a private lesson with an instructor on a weekend where we could all get in the pool might be the answer - though I'm very open to any suggestions anyone might have! I know when i was volunteering we sometimes done one to one support. Maybe email tell them your situation they could find volunteer to help at swimming.
