  So, we’re considering driving to Arches and Canyonlands area in early April with our nearly 6 year old and 3 year old boys. I’ve looked up the mileage from Seattle - is this crazy to consider? Also, we have no reservations. Difficult to find lodging in early April? We’re open to camping, hotels, and options in between...just trying to get a sense of how busy the area is and recommendations given our situation (small kids, nothing planned). Thanks!

  You can do it! We did it last year. I HIGHLY recommend the ACT Campground in Moab. They have free clean showers, cheap laundry, a free community kitchen with a fridge you can store your stuff in, etc. It’s really amazing and was our home base for the week.
