Benjamin began his career in hairdressing after growing tired of working in bars and playing in bands. He was offered a job in his families salon near Woking, Surrey and started work in the summer of 2008.
It was immediately noted that he had a natural flair and aptitude for the art of hairdressing after completing his training Benjamin immediately began to focus on the direction he wanted to take his career and this direction was session styling.
Benjamin worked on his first fashion shows at London Fashion Week in September 2011 working on a total of 6 shows over the week following this he decided that this was definitely the way he wanted to go with his career and began to work on more and more shows and shoots.In September 2013 Benjamin was approached by Fashion International to become head stylist and to lead the hair team for their growing London Fashion Week shows, where he continued to lead the shows hair teams for 3 years. Benjamin has now worked on over 100 fashion shows in London, Milan & Paris including working for and with Internationally renowned clients such as Burberry, Lanvin, Sony, Microsoft & Clothes Show Live as his reputation grew. Whilst establishing himself in the session world Benjamin continued to work in his family salon building an enviable client list and remains there to this day splitting his time between the salon and session work.In 2015 Benjamin decided to relocate to Berlin, Germany and opened his own private studio in June 2016 under the moniker of The English Hairdresser In Berlin. Benjamin now splits his time between his studio in Berlin, HeadHunters in Woking, England, special appointment bookings in London and the ever moving fashion circuits in London, Milan & Paris.
Benjamin is also a regular on the presentation and education scene within the hairdressing industry having presented shows at Salon International 2014,2015 & 2016,... show more Colour World 2016 & 2017 Salon London 2016 & 2017, Pro Hair Live 2017, Salon North 2016 & Professional Hairdresser Live 2015 as well as various teaching, judging and presentation engagements with the Fellowship of British Hairdressing, The National Hairdressers Federation and Hair Club Live.
He has also had great awards success within the hairdressing industry having won the 2011 NHF Photographic Stylist of the year and the 2015 NHF Afro Image of The Year. Benjamin has been short listed for 14 awards since 2011.
In the summer of 2017 Benjamin launched his own 100% Naturally derived, Organic, Cruelty Free, Vegan Friendly hair care range consisting first of a shampoo and conditioner which will be closely followed by a styling and treatment oil and a pure coconut oil deep conditioning treatment in the autumn of 2017.
