  Hi everyone! My husband, two daughters (ages 3 and 4months) and I just moved here from Greenville, and are staying with my brother off Rutledge until we buy a house. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good pediatrician? I have already used MUSC Pediatrics for my daughter's 4 month well check and it was... not what I'm used to. We were there for 3 hours, and today I called the number to speak to a nurse and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to answer. We are looking for homes in Summerville (that's where my husband's job is) so if there are any pediatricians that have an office around here and there, that would be great! Thanks!!

  We use James Island Pediatrics (Dr. Hutton), which is right next-door to Coastal (where ^^Ian^^ goes). So you can go and check out both of them :) http://www.jamesislandpediatrics.com In particular, we've really appreciated Dr. Hutton's instinct to really listen to us and treat us as individuals (rather than just fitting our son into The System). We've felt very 'safe' with her.

  I am growing weary of trying to find a good pediatricians office in W. Ashley or surrounding areas. I have been through two offices that have poor service and scheduling and I have not been impressed with the doctors themselves. Can anyone recommend a great ped office that is open past 3 pm, has doctors that don't just shove medicine at you for everything, understands food intolerances, and care enough to actually follow up with patients and schedule appointments within a reasonable window. I really don't feel like I am asking for the impossible. We had a ped that was all of that and more in California.
