I'm a vegetarian and hosting someone who wants to eat good fish for dinner - any recommendations? I don't know a dang thing about fish options here in town :)
Eating out, I'd explore these options, not in any order: 1) Neptune Oyster 2) North Square Oyser (1 and 2 in the North End) 3) Eventide Oyster 4) Select Oyster (Back Bay) 5) Il Pesce (Eataly, at the Pru, new, haven't heard much) 6) Island Creek Oyster Bar (Kenmore and Burlington) 7) Pescatore (Somerville, Italian) 8) Legal Harborside (reliable, great location.. other Legals are solid too, if not exceptional) 9) Belle Isle Seafood (sort of a lobster shack vibe, good) 10) B&G Oysters (South End) 11) Ostra Summer Shack is okay, but more of a family vibe imho. I've heard some decent things about Turner's as well..
Hello, It is our son's 6th birthday on Friday, and we would love to take him to a restaurant, which is not only child friendly, but also fun for a 6 year old boy. Hes outgrown the 'Full Moon' place...
SummerShack next to Alewife is very spacious and has a fun environment for kids. Sunday is make-your-own-Sundae day for kids. They have brown paper tablecloths and they supply crayons. They have kids' meals and corn dogs. Call to ask if they have any other kid-oriented activities on Sundays or whether you can pre-order kid food to keep the costs under control. The adult food is terrific (but pricey, as you'd expect from a place with scrupulously fresh seafood). http://www.summershackrestaurant.com/ Vicki Blier
