About us
Kookaburra Early Learning is a purpose built, private Long Day Care Centre and is locally owned and licensed by Lynn Snyman and Carol Pyke-Nott and is managed by ‘Quality Management Team’, who has many years of experience in Child Care.
The Centre has been designed for functionality, safety and versatility in mind. The three large rooms are used to divide children into developmental and age appropriate groups:
Nursery
Our nursery is for children 6 weeks to 2 years old. This room has a ratio of four children to one carer.
The room is spacious, bright, and airy and leads into a separate playground area from the older groups. Here children learn through exploration and play. The room is equipped with age-appropriate and stimulating toys to foster their development. Parents can view the daily activities on our digital photo frames when collecting your child.
Toddlers Room
Our toddler room is for 2 - 3 year old children. Here children learn through interest based activities which aid investigation and exploration. Children have access to various resources and technology. We have a qualified teacher in this room to introduce our Early Learning Program. Our rooms are well equipped with digital cameras and photo frames for parent feedback.
Pre-School Room
Our pre-school room caters for children 3 – 6 years of age. Here we introduce our readiness programs getting your child ready for school. While your child is learning through fun based activities, Pre-School skills are introduced by our qualified teachers, getting your child ready to recognise letters. Writing and cutting skills are encouraged.
We have an Interactive White Board and I-pads in this room and your child will be introduced to educational programs. Reading will be introduced for those who are ready. This spacious room leads into our large outdoor playground area.
