Does anyone have recommendations on a good lender that is familiar with historic districts and local tax abatements? Considering adding on under an existing sleeping porch. So while we’re at it, any suggestions for contractors familiar with historic renovations as well? Thanks for any help!

  Hi Anna! Welcome to Des Moines. You picked a beautiful neighborhood. My husband and I acutually grew up near-by the Kingman Street area and he has re-habbed several houses in that area (Drake, Sherman Hill, South of Grand etc...) In fact we own re-habbed 2 houses in the Drake area that have become rentals. My husband Matt Walsh has several postive references from people in the area.
