About us
When our store first opened in 1972, we were known as East London Sports, a store specializing in hockey. Now, decades later, hockey remains our primary focus, but we have made room over the years to accommodate so much more. Since our move to our current location in '84 we have remodeled our main store (406 Wharncliffe Rd S) several times, and squeeze into a bulging 14,000 sq ft of retail space. Our most recent expansion of the main store has pretty much capped us with any further growth, so in order to meet the increasing demands put on our Soccer and our Team Department, we had no other choice but to relocate into other buildings nearby.
At our main store you will find other seasonal equipment for sports like Lacrosse, Volleyball, Footwear, Rugby, Football, Baseball, Skiing and "The Boardshop". It is very easy to say that when there is a change in season, we have a change in sporting goods equipment to accommodate the everyday athletes all year around!
The two other buildings very close to our Main store are home to The Soccer Shop (now located next door to the Main building at 410 Wharncliffe Rd S ) and houses London and areas largest soccer selection and department. Further south on Wharncliffe (at 418), our well oiled and internationally known team department sets up its home base. Complete with showroom, and chock full of great staff, the Teamworks facility can put your logo on virtually anything and ensures that every team and organization that comes in, leaves looking their best!
Our well-trained staff of over 65 people looks after the day-to-day activities in our busy store and is the primary reason for our continued growth into one of the dominant sport stores in Canada . Combining huge sales volume with 200 Source for Sports locations across the country means maximum buying power for us and maximum discounts for our customers.
