About us

but no one will know it unless you get out of the garage.”
Our Garage is going to change all that.
Our Garage is going to be a home of creation and exploration.
Located within the Shoppes at Riverside in Aberdeen,
The Garage: Music and Arts Center is dedicated to providing the community and our youth with music workshops, arts workshops, rehearsal spaces, and a performance venue. We will also be offering musicians' supplies for sale, such as guitar strings, drum sticks, cork grease and valve oil.
Currently, our community is lacking in music opportunities, and we are working to close that gap. We will be offering the only preschool music program on the harbor. We will be hosting regular Jazz, Country, and Rock/Blues jams. We will also be hosting a regular Senior Jam for some of our more experienced musicians.
The idea is to bring the community together and provide a safe and comfortable setting for creative minds of all kinds and ages to collaborate while providing our community with workshops and getting instruments into the hands of people who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
Our current plan is to have two practice rooms (6'x10') and a band rehearsal room (22'x21') available for use. There will also be non-wind instruments available for the public to use for practice and jam sessions. Practice rooms and instrument usage will be free for students.
The 98520 Music & Arts District Initiative is a new project starting in Grays Harbor County, working to improve the quality of life for all of its citizens and boost tourism in our small community.
Working in association with the newly developing
98550 Flip Side Music District,
this year we are founding the first ever
98520 & 98550 Annual Music Festival,
running from October 1st through October 31st, 2017 .
We are working with multiple businesses and artists from our communities to provide movies and documentaries about Music, Showings at local Art Galleries, Music displays at... show more our libraries and including 31 musical acts at 31 different venues in 31 days,
kicked off by The opening of The Garage in Oct 2017,
and closed out with a safe space trick or treat dance party at Shoppes at Riverside on Halloween. show more
