  Dear Group, does anyone know how to transport an elderly person via ambulance or similar transport to doctors' appointments. The person is not able to sit in a regular sedan, van or SUV. This is for situations that are not emergencies but scheduled visits to specialists who do not make house calls.

  You need to call Logisticare at 18778357436. You need to give them 3 business days in advance. Have the patient's insurance info, doctor's name, location, time of the appointment. Be prepared for a pick up at least an hour prior to the appointment and pick up one hour after the appointment. If this patient has state insurance such as Access, Keystone first, Health Partners, etc., Logisticare is the company that helps with such trips to the doctors from Philadelphia to bucks county.
